Even though everyone's mind is on the Election, rosary advertising must go on. And I have found a lot of solace in this rosary, the Holy Face of Jesus rosary.
When I look at the Holy Face of Jesus, how much He has suffered for us, my mind goes to choices. Choices between doing the right thing and the wrong, the hard thing and the easy. I was teaching my children the other day of the Beatitudes; I'm no theologian, but I told my kids that Jesus was trying to tell us that Christianity was not the easy way. But doing the right thing, making the right choices, saying the right thing, isn't always the easy way. Look at the Face of Jesus. His Face does not say "easy".

But it is the right way. While my children were looking a little worried about hearing the realities of living the Christian life, I told them they could take comfort that if things are difficult, if people don't always like what they say, or if they find they will have to make a hard choice to make it the right choice, then they can take comfort that they have taken the Way of Jesus, and that this difficult way brings them to the arms of Jesus.
A friend of our family recently put up a sign on her front lawn "Choose Yes" (to protect the marriage of one man, one woman), and someone took the sign off her lawn during the night. Naturally, our friend replaced the sign, and this time put motor oil all over the sides of it. She isn't popular with her neighbors, but she has chosen the way of Jesus.
I haven't spoken much about this rosary, but I think that it speaks for itself. Roses and clay beads aside, how can you not love this rosary with the adorable Face of Jesus. Let yourself immerse in His loving suffering as you say your rosary.
"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:10
